New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan is riding high after the Women's Caribbean Premier League (CPL) championship victory of his Knight Riders club, the Trinbago Knight Riders. Saint Kitts and Nevis, one of the West Indian islands, hosted the first-ever Women's Caribbean Premier League matches at Warner Park Cricket Ground from September 1 to 4. The squad controlled by Shah Rukh Khan's Knight Riders Group, Trinbago Knight Riders, won the championship.
SRK and Juhi Chawla are the joint owners of the Knight Riders Group. Apart from Trinbago Knight Riders, the two stars own not one but three cricket teams together: Kolkata Knight Riders, Los Angeles Knight Riders, and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders.
SRK posted a video of the exciting moment on Twitter, along with the caption, "Every victory is special….but somehow this one for @TKRiders Women’s Squad is well, most special. Well done girls you are all so beautiful and amazing. Yay!!!”
Aryan Khan, Shah Rukh's son, also sent a congratulatory message to the victorious squad on his Instagram Stories. He posted a picture of the victorious women with their trophy and captioned it, "First women's CPL tournament and the first win already secured. Congratulations ladies...Hopefully many more to come".
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will be releasing a number of movies during the course of the next year. The film ‘Pathaan’, in which he will also act with Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, is now in production. In addition, the actor will be featured in the film ‘Jawaan’, which was directed by Atlee and also stars the South’s female celebrity Nayanthara. In addition to this, SRK will be featured in the film ‘Dunki,’ directed by Rajkumar Hirani and starring Taapsee Pannu. The year 2023 will see the release of all three of the films.
