It looks like the season of weddings is ruling in the Akkineni family. As Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya's wedding is the highlight of the season, the Akkineni family has another reason to rejoice. Recently, the Akkineni family announced the engagement of Akhil Akkineni to Zainab Ravdjee. Nagarjuna, once again, shared a statement announcing the engagement. While the wedding dates are expected to be finalised next year, it seems fans are quite excited to see two big South-Indian weddings in the Akkineni family. While the Akkineni's are quite well-known, not many know Zainab, who is an artist and art exhibitionist based in Mumbai. Born and brought up in Hyderabad, Zainab is the daughter of an industrialist.
Who is Zainab Ravdjee?
Zainab is the daughter of industrialist Zulfi Ravdjee, a well-known figure in the construction industry. Her brother, Zain Ravdjee, is the Chairman and Managing Director of ZR Renewable Energy Pvt Ltd. Zainab is a talented artist, recognized for her abstract and impressionistic paintings, which have been showcased in various exhibitions. Recently, the 39-year-old artist spoke to The New Indian Express about her collection Reflections, which was displayed in 2012.
It’s called Reflections for the same reason; I am looking back at the shows I did in the past and putting it together for this show. Which is why you will find that the paintings stem from different inspirations,” she said.
As per several reports, Zainab is also a lifestyle blogger( called Once Upon The Skin), who is quite known in Hyderabad for her artistic exhibitions. She is a renowned abstract art painter. She has put up successful exhibitions in places like Dubai, Mumbai and London. Her works are known for the bold use of colours and imaginative styles. Despite her work, Zainab likes to keep a low profile and focus on her work.
Zainab 's acting career
In addition to painting, Zainab has also brushed a little with the acting profession. She appeared in the film 'Meenaxi: A Tale of Three Cities' directed by MF Hussain, and played a supporting role alongside Tabu and Kunal Kapoor.

Nagarjuna announced Akhil and Zainab's engagement by sharing pictures and a heartfelt note that read, "We are thrilled to announce the engagement of our son, @AkhilAkkineni8, to our daughter-in-law to be Zainab Ravdjee! We couldn't be happier to welcome Zainab into our family. Please join us to congratulate the young couple and wish them a lifetime filled with love, joy, and your countless blessings."
