New Delhi: Superstar Vijay on Thursday the flag and symbol of his political party Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam. Thalapathy Vijay's political plans and ambitions are known to all his fans and this move comes as no suprise to his fandom. Vijay will hoist the party flag at the Panaiyur party office and release an official song for the political party as well.

The flag is two-coloured and has elephants on both sides and a peacock surrounded by stars at the centre. In February this year, Vijay had announced the launch of Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam and said he would be contesting the 2026 assembly election in Tamil Nadu.

For the recent Lok Sabha elections, his party did not align with any political bloc.

At the event, Vijay said, "I know you all are waiting for our first state conference. Preparations are on for it and very soon I will announce it. Before that, I unveiled our party's flag today. I feel very proud... We will work together for the development of Tamil Nadu."

Promising to work for the welfare of Tamil Nadu, Vijay said, "Tamil Nadu will be better from now on. Victory is sure.”

The flag reveal will also be followed by a massive rally, which is to take place in the last week of September to formally launch the party in the eyes of the public in Vikravandi in northern Tamil Nadu.

Vijay's party will alos be formally registered with the Election Commission of India. The formalities are in advance stage and the process is to be completed soon.

As per a Deccan Hearld report, which quoted sources close to the development, the flag anthem has been composed by popular music director S Thaman, while lyrics have been composed by V Vivek.
