Actors Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya, who have been rumoured to be dating for a while, are reportedly getting engaged on Thursday. According to GreatAndhra.com, the couple is also going to get married soon. 


As per the report, which cited an insider, actor Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya’s father, is planning to post a note about his wedding. Following the ceremony, it is also rumoured that pictures from Chaitanya and Sobhita's engagement will be shared.

According to Hindustan Times, a source told the publication, “Yes, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala are getting engaged on Thursday evening. The ceremony will be a very private and intimate one and will take place at Nagarjuna’s home in the evening. Nagarjuna is likely to be the one who will share the news first on social media.” 


Amala Akkineni and Akhil, Naga Chaitanya’s brother and Sobhita’s parents will attend the event.


Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu divorce


There has been constant speculation about Naga Chaitanya's relationship with Sobhita after he divorced Samantha Ruth Prabhu a few years ago. Despite not officially confirming their relationship, the two have been photographed together quite often. The couple’s viral pictures has fuelled rumours of a possible relationship. They increased the hype in June when they made headlines for a vacation in Europe. Naga and Sobhita were spotted having fun at a wine tasting in a viral photo from the trip, which sparked even more rumours about their romance.


Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu began dating after they first met in 2009 while working on the romantic drama ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’. In 2017, the couple tied the knot. In a joint statement released in 2021, Samantha and Chaitanya announced their divorce without giving any indication as to why they were separating.


On the work front, Sobhita was last seen in Dev Patel starrer ‘Monkey Man’. The film also stars Sikandar Kher, Sharlto Copley, Makarand Deshpande, Ashwini Kalsekar, and others. She will be next seen in Vandana Kataria's ‘Sitara’. Meanwhile, Chaitanya will be seen in Chandoo Mondeti helmed film ‘Thandel’, also starring Sai Pallavi.
