New Delhi: Prabhas' army has been raving about his latest release 'Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire'. Co-starring alongside Prabhas, Shruti Haasan was also seen in the Prashanth Neel film. Recently, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Shruti Haasan shared her experience of working on the film and with the South super star Prabhas.
Shruti plays the role of Aadya in 'Salaar'. Speaking with the publication, Shruti shared, "Aadya is a misfit in that violent world and it was interesting to see things unfold through her eyes." Shruti Haasan also shared that she partly said 'yes' to 'Salaar' ' just to act with him'.
"He’s quite chill, friendly and relaxed off-screen. He’s more kind, thoughtful and generous than people would expect,” she added in the same interaction, “But when Prashanth would call action, a whole different Prabhas would show up.”
Recently, Prabhas had given only one in person interview ahead of Salaar's release and that too to 'Baahubali' director SS Rajamouli. In that interaction which was attended by the likes of Prithviraj Sukumaran and Prashanth Neel, Rajamouli shared how he was disappointed that she had no dance number in the film.
SS Rajamouli had said in that interview, "I like her songs from Race Gurram and Srimanthudu, I love her dancing. I just learnt there are no duets in the film. Prashanth, you disappointed me.”
Addressing the same in her interaction with HT, Shruti Haasan added that while she was 'flattered' that SS likes her dancing skills, she looks for more in a film than just acting. "It made me super happy to know that Rajamouli sir likes my dancing,” she says, adding, “But when I signed this project, I knew the story was the focus here. It’s the story that made me want to be part of Prashanth’s world.”
Shruti Haasan has had an interesting 2023 with films like 'Veera Simha Reddy' and 'Waltair Veerayya'. The Telugu actor will next be seen in the English project titled 'The Eye'.
