New Delhi: The highly awaited sequel 'Pushpa 2: The Rule', starring Allu Arjun and directed by Sukumar, has broken all previous records at the worldwide box office. On its first day of release on December 5, the film became one of the highest-grossing openers, earning an incredible Rs 175.1 crore nett. To add to its already enormous popularity, ‘Pushpa 2’ surpassed Shah Rukh Khan's ‘Jawan’ on its opening day.


Although official figures have not been released yet, industry insiders estimate that the film's worldwide revenue may have surpassed 200 crore rupees.


'Pushpa 2: The Rule' Box Office Collection Day 1


Day 1 profits for ‘Pushpa 2’ in India were a whopping Rs 175.1 crore nett, which includes earnings from the paid premiere events that took place on December 4, according to the monitoring website Sacnilk. The film's extraordinary level of audience enthusiasm was reflected in its screening on more than 10,000 screens globally. The three cities of Bengaluru, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana each received an extra Rs 10.1 crore nett from special premiere shows.


The film's Hindi version alone made an astounding Rs 72 crore, which was a record-breaking sum and an unprecedented milestone for the film.


The film's impressive opening beat Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' record of Rs 64 crore in the Hindi version, with 'Pushpa 2' earning Rs 67 crore nett. The Telugu version contributed a massive Rs 85 crore nett in India, while the Tamil and Malayalam versions earned Rs 7 crore and Rs 5 crore, respectively.


A number of industry trackers are predicting that Pushpa 2's opening weekend receipts will exceed Rs 250 crore.


Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil return for Pushpa Raj, Srivalli, and Bhanwar Singh Shekawat, respectively, in this sequel to ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, which was produced by Muttamsetty Media and Mythri Movie Makers and directed by Sukumar.
