New Delhi: Nag Ashwin's 'Kalki 2898 AD' had an impressive opening at the global box office, grossing β‚Ή191.5 crore on its first day, as announced by the filmmakers on Friday. Veteran actor Rajinikanth expressed his admiration for the Hindi-Telugu bilingual film, which stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Saswata Chatterjee, and Shobhana.

Rajinikanth took to X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday to share his excitement for the sci-fi film, saying, "Watched Kalki. WOW! What an epic movie! Director @nagashwin7 has taken Indian cinema to a different level.
