New Delhi: HanuMan director Prasanth Varma has addressed the propaganda against his highly-acclaimed film. Taking to his X( Twitter) handle, the fimmaker spoke about the propoganda against his film mentioning fake social media accounts on platforms targetting his films.

The filmmaker's post comes days after he and the distributor filed a complaint with the Telugu Film Producer Council( TFPC) alleging unfair theatre practicies.

Prasanth also thanked his fans for their unwavering support.

"I've encountered a significant amount of propaganda surrounding our team, along with the proliferation of fake profiles across social media. It seems like some of this digital debris has been forgotten to be thrown in yesterday's Bhogi fire. However, I express my sincere gratitude to the cinephiles who offered their unwavering support and affirm our belief that "The one who stands for Dharma will always win." Prasanth wrote on X.

“Ultimately, #HANUMAN Kite is set to fly even higher this Sankranti, treading negativity to the depths below,” His post added.

The superhero film is wreaking havoc at the box office. The film stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Amritha Aiyer and Vinay Rai. 'HanuMan' revolves around Teja Sajja, an ordinary man who unexpectly gets superpowers and finds new strength within himself. He makes good use of his powers and overcomes evil.

Meanwhile, Teja Sajja's Telugu film has become the first big film of 2024 with a collection of Rs. 40.65 cr over the first weekend. This collection is higher than Yash-starrer 'KGF: Chapter 1' and Rishab Shetty's 'Kantara'.

This collection is close to Alu Arjun's 'Pushpa'. HanuMan still has 10 more days to tap into the box office before Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan starrer 'Fighter' hits theatres. The film has been receiving positive word-of-mouth reviews and thus its gradual box office rise in collections.

‘HanuMan’ released on January 12, 2024 alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Merry Christmas’.
