Superstar Rajinikanth’s grandson and actor Dhanush’s elder son Yatra has been fined for riding a superbike in Chennai without a driving license and helmet.
New Delhi: Superstar Rajinikanth’s grandson and actor Dhanush’s elder son Yatra has been fined for riding a superbike in Chennai without a driving license and helmet. A video of Yatra, who is 17, riding a bike in Poes Garden without a helmet was doing the rounds on the internet. In the video, he was seen learning to ride the two-wheeler from an instructor.
According to ETimes, after the video went viral, Tamil Nadu Traffic Police investigated regarding the video. As Yatra was wearing a mask while riding the bike, the police confirmed from his mother Aishwarya Rajinikanth that his son was the one in the video. After the investigation, the traffic police imposed a fine of Rs 1000 on him for driving a bike without a driving license. Police officials went to Dhanush’s house to collect the fine.
Dhanush and Aishwarya announced in 2022 their separation. They didn’t give the reason behind the decision but said that it was a mutual decision and they will continue to co-parent their kids. There were also rumours of their reconciliation recently.
On the work front, Dhanush will next be seen in Captain Miller, which will release on Pongal 2024. The film, directed Arun Matheshwaran, also features Priyanka Mohan, Shivarajkumar, and Sandeep Kishan in important roles.
The actor will also star in music legend Ilaiyaraaja’s biopic. The shooting for the yet-to-be-titled film is scheduled to start in October 2024 with the makers aiming for the release of the film around mid-2025.
Dhanush is one of the biggest superstars of Tamil cinema and has also cultivated a loyal fan following in north India as well with his films like ‘Raanjhanaa’ and ‘Atrangi Re’. He has starred in 46 films and has won four National Film Awards (two as actor and two as producer), and fourteen SIIMA Awards.
