'Good Bad Ugly' box office
The film’s Tamil Nadu occupancy rate was recorded at 61.53%, with Saturday seeing a significant 29% increase compared to Friday, which had witnessed a 48.72% dip. With its current momentum at the box office, Good Bad Ugly has officially become the third-highest grossing Tamil film of 2025, surpassing titles like Veera Dheera Sooran and Madha Gaja Raja.
Ajith Kumar’s previous release Vidaamuyarchi had collected ₹135.65 crore worldwide, securing the second spot, while Dragon currently leads with ₹150.52 crore. However, with the pace Good Bad Ugly is maintaining, it has a strong chance of overtaking both films to claim the top position.
About Good Bad Ugly
Released in April 2025, Good Bad Ugly marks Mythri Movie Makers’ debut in Tamil cinema. The film features a stellar ensemble cast including Arjun Das, Sunil, Karthikeya Dev, Priya Prakash Varrier, Prabhu, Prasanna, Tinnu Anand, and Raghu Ram.
The story revolves around a retired gangster who is forced back into his old ways when his son is wrongly arrested. While the movie has been a massive commercial success, critical reception has been mixed. Ajith Kumar’s magnetic screen presence and the film’s mass appeal have received widespread praise, though some critics feel it struggles to balance nostalgic nods to Ajith’s earlier films with a consistently coherent narrative.
