New Delhi: Actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood, who tested positive for COVID-19 a few days back, revealed in one of his posts that he has tested negative for the virus. The ‘Prithviraj’ actor shared a picture on his social media to inform about being tested negative.

Sonu Sood shared a post and wrote, “Tested: COVID-19 Negative.”

Though Sonu Sood was under home quarantine after he tested positive for COVID-19, he has been helping people who are in need. The ‘Simmba’ actor has been lending out a helping hand since last year to many migrant workers, students and patients. He has sent millions of migrant workers back to their hometowns when the nationwide lockdown was implemented last year due to the outbreak of COVID-19.

Sonu Sood recently airlifted a COVID positive patient from Nagpur to Hyderabad for special treatment. The 25-year-old girl, who tested positive for coronavirus, reportedly got critically ill as she had lost almost 85-90 per cent of her lungs. Now, with the actor’s help, the patient has now been shifted to Wockhardt Hospital for her treatment.

Sonu Sood told ANI while speaking about the same, “Doctors had said that the chances are 20 per cent and asked me whether I still wanted to go ahead with it. I said 'Of course. She is a 25-year-old young girl and she will fight the battle hard and she will come out of it stronger.' That's why we took this chance and we decided to get an air ambulance and the best team of doctors in the country to treat her. The treatment is going well in Apollo Hospital, Hyderabad, and we hope for the best. She will recover and come back soon.”

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Sonu Sood will be next seen starring in ‘Prithviraj’, ‘Thamilarasan’ and ‘Acharya’.
