Somy Ali On Relationship With Salman Khan: 'Eight Years Spent With Him Were Worst Years Of My Entire Existence'

Former Bollywood actress Somy Ali, who was in a relationship with Salman Khan in the past, has spoken about the superstar and their alleged abusive relationship many times.

New Delhi: Former Bollywood actress Somy Ali, who was in a relationship with Salman Khan in the past, has spoken about the superstar and their alleged abusive relationship many times through her now-deleted Instagram posts. Somy often posts allegations against the actor and then later deletes those posts. 

Now in a series of posts, Somy, who now runs an NGO, has spoken in detail about her alleged abusive relationship with Salman. She answered a series of questions that are thrown at her when she speaks against the actor. She has also revealed why she always deleted the posts against him. She also said that "the eight years spent with him were the worst years of my entire existence." 

Giving details of her relationship with the superstar she wrote, “The eight years spent with him were the worst years of my entire existence. In addition to tons of affairs and flings he would constantly belittle me by calling me ugly, stupid and dumb. Not a day went by that he wouldn't make me feel worthless and small. He would not acknowledge me as his girlfriend in public for years and when he finally did he would insult me in front of his friends and berate me nonstop. I have no qualms in saying that given his treatment of me I chose to have affairs which essentially defined as a search for someone who would care for me and love me. Someone who would not insult me and would actually be nice to me. Unfortunately, I was unaware that these men were simply using me and I was building a future with each affair while I was simply being used. When Salman learned of these affairs he had the guts to after beating me saying that I am a man and only men can cheat not women. I was aghast at that statement and the sexism that reeked from it. Let's not forget that just because Salman or anyone else is nice to you, they are the same with others. I had it the worst in terms of verbal, sexual and physical abuse.” 

In another post, she wrote that Salman can be very kind to some people and can be brutally ruthless to another human being. She also accused him of using his power to destroy careers and gave Vivek Oberoi’s example. 

Answering the question about what took her so long to speak up against Salman, she wrote, "This is not breaking news by any means. Rummage through any tabloid or a film magazine from the early 90's to 1999 and you will read articles about Somy being physically abused by Salman.” 

Answering the questions about the deletion of all the previous posts, she wrote, "Yes, because I had used profanity and my anger got the best of me. As the executive director of an NGO, it did not sit well with me to have profane posts on my social media. Thus, I deleted them." 

Somy Ali also answered question about an alleged incident of Salman breaking a bottle on her head. Calling it a ‘dumbest rumour’, she revealed that he had poured a glass of Thumbs Up over her hair. 

“He poured a glass of Thumbs up over my hair because it had rum in it and it was the first time I was trying alcohol. There was an actor friend with me there as well and she witnessed the whole thing. I respect her and will not mention her name. But no, he did not break a bottle on my head. That's the dumbest rumor that has been going around for years as I reiterate I would have ended up in the ICU,” she said. 

Salman Khan is currently rumoured to have been dating model Iulia Vantur.
