Chennai: South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) recently announced its nominations for 2021. Actor Mahesh Babu's Telugu film Maharshi, Dhanush's Tamil movie Asuran, Darshan's Kannada film Yajamana and Soubin Shahir's Malayalam film Kumbalangi Nights are leading the nominations in the most popular categories. Among these, Kumbalangi Nights is leading the list with 13 nominations.

Earlier, the dazzling event SIIMA award ceremony took place at international venues of Dubai, Malaysia, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Singapore. SIIMA awards recognise the best performances from the past year in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada films and music and celebrate the artistic and technical achievements of the south Indian film industry.
