New Delhi: Siddhant Chaturvedi has always kept his personal life private, but this time the actor opened up about his heartbreak, his work and his early life in an interview.

While now revelling in the glory of his recently released film Gehraiyaan, actor Siddhant has claimed that he was once involved in a meaningful relationship with someone before making his way to Bollywood.

In a recent interview with Filmfare, the actor disclosed that he had been in a relationship with someone for four years before calling it quits. After the breakup, everything changed for him.

When questioned about the one moment that transformed his life, Siddhant Chaturvedi recalled a split with an ex-girlfriend. Siddhant stated that he had a four-year relationship with the girl and that it was at the age of twenty that he got clarity and decided that he wanted to settle down with her.

He considered himself to be in good shape, but he ended up breaking up with that girl, which radically transformed him.

The actor said, "I wanted to settle down with her and she wanted a simple life. I was doing my CA at that time but then I chose to switch my career. That didn't go down well with her. We wanted two different things in life and that was really heartbreaking because I had to choose between love and ambition. And I chose ambition. I remember telling her that I wanted to perform on stage and will make sure I reach there. And here I am."

Siddhant will next be seen in the movie 'Phone Bhoot', in which he will co-star with Katrina Kaif and Ishaan Khatter.
