New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor will be seen together for the first time in one of the most awaited films of this year ‘Shamshera’. The trailer of the film has got a very good response and the audience are waiting to see Ranbir Kapoor as a larger-than-life quintessential Hindi film hero for the first time.
The makers on Thursday released ‘Fitoor’, the second song from the film and the highlight of the song is the chemistry between Vaani and Ranbir. The track is sung by Arijit Singh and Neeti Mohan and is composed by Mithoon and the lyrics are penned by the film’s director Karan Malhotra.
The song features Ranbir and Vaani romancing at various locations – from mountain desert to underwater. The underwater sequences are a treat to watch and the chemistry between the lead actors enhances the song.
Ranbir had earlier told ANI about his experience of working with Vaani. "We really enjoyed each other's company. I think what she's done in Shamshera is quite outstanding and I am looking forward to how people find her character and her performance. She has a very important role in the film and people will have to wait to see the film to understand how important her role is," Ranbir was quoted as saying by ANI.
The story of 'Shamshera' is set in the fictitious city of Kaza, where a warrior tribe is imprisoned, enslaved, and tortured by a ruthless authoritarian general Shudh Singh. This is the story of a man who became a slave, a slave who became a leader, and then a legend for his tribe. He relentlessly fights for his tribe's freedom and dignity. His name is Shamshera.
The high-octane, adrenaline-pumping entertainer is set in the 1800s in the heartland of India. Ranbir will be playing a double role in the film. Sanjay Dutt plays Ranbir’s arch-enemy and his showdown with Ranbir will be something to watch out for as they will ferociously go after each other with no mercy.
Directed by Karan Malhotra, this action extravaganza has been produced by Aditya Chopra and is set to release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on July 22, 2022.
