New Song 'Maiyya Mainu' From Shahid Kapoor Starrer 'Jersey' Is A Romantic Number

New Delhi: Shahid Kapoor is all geared-up for the release of his upcoming sports drama 'Jersey'. The makers of the film have already hyped the audience's excitement by giving a glimpse of Shahid's compelling performance in the trailer. The film's new song 'Maiyya Mainu' was released on Wednesday.

The song composed by the much-loved duo Sachet-Parampara, is a romantic number. It beautifully showcases the chemistry between Shahid and Mrunal Thakur, who plays the female lead in the film. Sharing the song's video on his Instagram, Shahid Kapoor called it his lyrical love letter.

Speaking about the song, producer Aman Gill said,"Maiyya Mainu is a song that showcases the deep bond between our protagonists played by Shahid and Mrunal. They have both done a brilliant job in the movie! Sachet-Parampara have composed the romantic song of the season and we hope you enjoy listening to it."

The song being appreciated by the netizens for its soulful music and romance-infused mood, has already garnered a lot of likes. Bollywood actress Ananya Panday who is all excited for her upcoming film 'Liger', dropped heart emojis in Shahid Kapoor's comments section, showing her fondness for the song.

Presented by Allu Aravind, the film has been directed by filmmaker Gowtam Tinnanuri. Based on the life of a former cricketer, the film is a tug of war between the protagonist's love for family, the various complications he faces and his passion for cricket. The film will have a theatrical release on December 31.
