New Delhi: For the first time, actor Shah Rukh Khan expressed his opinion about the cost of D'YAVOL X, the clothing line created by his son Aryan Khan. The actor recently organised a "ask me anything" session on Twitter where a fan complained about the high-end brand's pricing. Following the brand's introduction, consumers had complained that the pricing were "ridiculously expensive."
A fan wrote to Shah Rukh, “Ye dyavol x ke jacket thoda sa 1000- 2000 wale bhi bana do… Wo wale khareedne me to ghar chala jayega (Can you reduce the price to ₹1000 to 2000. I have to sell off my house in order to afford it).” Shah Rukh responded to the comment and promised to do something about it.
Shah Rukh replied to the comment by writing, "Yeh D’Yavol X wale log mujhe bhi sasti nahi bech rahe….kuch karta hoon..!! #Jawan"
Aryan Khan introduced his clothing line last month. In the first commercial for the company, Shah Rukh served as his muse, making it his directorial debut as well.
In an interview with Harper Bazaar, Aryan talked about working with his superstar father and said, "Working with my father is never challenging, because, with his experience and dedication, he makes everyone’s job easier on set. He also makes the entire crew feel at ease and has tremendous respect for everyone. When he’s on set I always make sure to pay extra attention, so I don’t miss out on anything I can learn.”
Aryan and Shah Rukh had been promoting the launch of the clothing website on social media for quite sometime, leaving fans equally excited about the same, however, a section on social media expressed dissatisfaction with the cost. A white T-shirt with a printed design cost Rs 24,400, according to Diet Sabya's Instagram fashion account. A black sweatshirt cost Rs 45,500, whereas a jacket cost more than Rs 2 lakhs on Aryan's website.
Shah Rukh had organised the #AskMeSrk session to announce the new release date of his upcoming action-thriller 'Jawan', that is now slated to release on September 7.
