Actress Shagufta Ali recently hit the headlines after she revealed that she is facing a major financial crisis even after working for 36 years in the film & television industry. The 54-year-old actress who has been part of many popular TV shows like Bepannaah, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, Veera and Sasural Simar Ka, and movies opened up on selling all her assets including jewelry and car to meet her ends. Soon many members of the film fraternity including Rohit Shetty and Ashoke Pandit offered help to the actress.
And now Ali received a cheque of Rs five lakhs from the team of dance reality show ‘Dance Deewane 3’. Get ready for an upcoming emotional episode of the show as actress Shagufta Ali will be making a special appearance in the episode.
The latest promo of the episode gives a glimpse of the veteran actress opening up about her financial and personal struggles on the show. Shagufta has been struggling to the pay medical bills from the last 3-4 years even after she has sold all her assets.Shagufta’s story makes everyone emotional including host Bharti Singh who hugs her, judge Madhuri Dixit also walks up to her to console her.
Further, Madhuri is seen handing over a cheque of Rs 5 lakh to the veteran actress on behalf of the whole Dance Deewane team. Shagufta gets teary-eyed and says, “I have no words.”
Besides the team of Dance Deewane, Shagufta Ali received financial aid from filmmakers and producers Manish Goswami, Ashoke Pandit and Ashok Shekhar.
