In a major scare on the eve of his birthday, Bollywood megastar Salman Khan was bitten by a snake in his bedroom at the family's sprawling Panvel farmhouse in the outskirts of Mumbai. He was rushed to a hospital in Navi Mumbai for treatment and later discharged. After getting discharged from the hospital, Salman returned to the farmhouse and celebrated his 56th birthday with media.

Meanwhile, after Salman informed fans and media that he was okay, a video of Hollywood singer Maeta being bitten by a snake while shooting her music video went viral online.
The 21-year-old singer had shared the video on Instagram on December 19. In the BTS footage of the shocking moment she was bitten by a snake while filming her music video. The clip had the singer lying on the floor with two serpents placed on top of her. Dressed in black lace, she was seen smiling before one of the snakes crawled up her chin and bit her. Clearly taken aback, Maeta recoiled in pain and pushed the snake away. "Oh it bit her like this," a person off-camera was heard saying as the singer turned away, evidently in pain.
"What I go through to make videos for y'all," Maeta wrote while sharing the video on Instagram. "Never again," she added while sharing the same clip on Twitter.
According to People Magazine, none of the snakes being used for the music video were venomous and the singer did not receive any other injuries, except for the bite on her chin.
R&B singer Maeta rose to prominence earlier this year after being signed to Jay Z's management label Roc Nation and releasing her debut album Habits.
She also joined Oscar winner and Grammy-winner H.E.R. on the Back of My Mind Tour in October.
