New Delhi: On Friday, actor Salman Khan's body double Sagar Pandey suddenly passed away. He died of a heart attack while doing gym in Mumbai. The incident happened around 1.00 pm today.


Sagar Pandey was about 50 years old, and he had appeared in more than 50 films with Salman Khan. Sagar had worked as a body double for Salman Khan in big films like ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, ‘Tubelight’, ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, ‘Dabangg’, ‘Dabangg 2’ and TV shows like ‘Bigg Boss’. He often used to do stage shows not only across the country but also abroad.


On Friday night, Salman Khan grieved over Sagar's death. The actor posted a photo of himself with Sagar along with a heartfelt message.


He wrote, “Dil se shukar adda kar raha hoon for being there with me. May your soul rest in peace brother Sagar. Thank u 🙏 #RIP #SagarPandey.”



Raju Raikwar, a close friend of Sagar's and a look-alike of Shah Rukh Khan, told ABP News that two gym instructors took him to Suvidha Hospital after he had a heart attack at the gym. The doctors then recommend transferring him to the Balasaheb Thackeray Trauma Center Hospital in Jogeshwari.


Raju says that the doctors declared Sagar dead around 2.00 in the afternoon. Sagar was a resident of Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh and according to Raju, Sagar's last rites would be performed in Pratapgarh only.


In the year 2020 during the Corona lockdown, ABP News had a special meeting with Sagar Pandey. During a conversation with ABP News, he had told in detail about being financially troubled due to no income during the Corona period and lockdown.


During the Corona period, Salman Khan helped thousands of laborers and junior artists in the Hindi film industry worth crores of rupees. Sagar Pandey also received money for a few months.
