New Delhi: ‘The Kashmir Files’ director Vivek Agnihotri has been critical of fellow filmmaker Karan Johar on several occasions. After the seventh season of 'Koffee With Karan' ended, director Vivek Agnihotri explained why he decided not to appear on the program. In a recent interview, Vivek said he wouldn't watch the program in its current shape because he doesn't want to devote his life to a show about sex.

During an interview with Brut India, Vivek said, “It depends. I mean if the kind of show it is right now, definitely I won’t go because I have nothing to contribute. I am more than a middle-aged man now. I have two kids. So, s*x is not the primary concern of my life. And I’ll feel odd sitting over there because it is so artificial.”

He went on to explain, saying, “Sex is not the primary concern of my life. And I’ll feel odd sitting over there because it's so artificial. I am talking to you as well, I can speak on any subject, be it sex or any other subject? We can do that, I have no problems. I am very spiritual, I am not a very sex-centred person, though I enjoy it with my wife. It's not that my life revolves around only sex and who's ditching who.”

The director concluded, saying, “I think it is a bulls*** programme. Nobody relates with it, you're doing it only for your inner circle, for your friends and just to make each other happy, and some channels are paying for it.”

Meanwhile, after the tremendous success of ‘The Kashmir Files’, Vivek has announced the title of his next project, ‘Delhi Files’.

Talking about Karan Johar, ‘Koffee With Karan 7’ has concluded with comedians and social media influencers. His coffee guests were Kusha Kapila, Tanmay Bhat, Niharika NM, and Danish Sait who sat down on the couch for the season finale on Thursday.
