New Delhi: 'RRR' continues to smash box office records in its second week of release. This SS Rajamouli magnum opus starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan is inching towards Rs. 1000 crore club gradually.


Previously Rajamouli’s 'Baahubali 2; has been a part of this profitable group. Only time will tell if 'RRR' also becomes another worldwide blockbuster to cross the said figure. 


In its first week since release, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, 'RRR’s worldwide gross collection stood at Rs. 710 crores. 



The film also crossed the lifetime business of 'Sooryavanshi' on Tuesday, becoming the second Hindi film to hit the Rs. 200 crores mark post-pandemic on home ground.


In Week 2 in the domestic market, its collection is as follows:


Friday: Rs. 13.50 crores


Saturday: Rs. 18 crores


Sunday: Rs. 20.50 crores


Monday: Rs. 7 crores


Tuesday: Rs. 6.50 crores



'RRR' is an epic period action drama written by Vijayendra Prasad.  A historical fiction film, it is a retelling of the stories of two Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Rama Rao), and their fight against British rule. A grand spectacle film that mixes mythology with Indian Independence struggle to make it look surreal and believable at the same time, RRR is Rajamouli's magnum opus.


The film features NT Rama Rao Jr, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Ray Stevernson among others. Produced by DVV Entertainment on a budget of Rs 550 crores, 'RRR' released globally on 25th March 2022.
