New Delhi: The list of the top articles viewed in 2022 has been published by Wikipedia, which is used to access information about anybody and everything. The actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard reportedly had 19,544,593 and 19,067,943 page views on Wikipedia, respectively, making them the personalities in the entertainment business who garnered the most attention throughout the year.


Due to their widely reported defamation trial, the two celebrities attracted people's attention. After a prolonged trial, Depp ultimately won in the lawsuit he had taken against his ex-wife.


However, due to their widely publicised legal dispute, Amber also became the celebrity who was looked for the most on Google this year. In 2022, Amber took the lead in Google search trends, closely followed by her ex-husband Johnny, according to the data that was analysed.


With an estimated 5.6 million searches per month in the US, Amber Heard topped the list of celebrities who were most frequently searched in 2022. Second on the list with 5.5 million monthly searches was Johnny Depp.


The next on the list is the HBO prequel to 'Game of Thrones', 'House of the Dragon'. Wikipedia page views for the show reached 16,421,891. The fantasy drama depicts the tale of the Targaryen family, who ruled Westeros for hundreds of years before being overthrown by Robert Baratheon. The series picks up 172 years before Daenerys Targaryen's birth. 'House of the Dragon' gained much attention after it premiered on Disney+ Hotstar in August.


'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' (15,982,987 page views), 'KGF: Chapter 2' (15,954,912), 'Top Gun Maverick' (15,858,877), 'RRR' (15,594,732), and 'The Batman' (14,835,022) were among the movies that made the list.


Director Baz Luhrmann's biopic of the actor-singer Elvis Aaron Presley, the American singer and actor also piqued readers' interest. Up to 15,391,295 people viewed his Wikipedia page in 2022.
