Netflix Most Watched Movies List Topped By 'RRR', 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' And 'Jersey'

Alia Bhatt's 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' and SS Rajamouli's 'RRR' starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in lead roles, not only ruled at the box office but have been reigning over the OTT platform, Netflix, as well.
While 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' garnered a viewership of around 3 million hours, 'RRR' is ruling at number 1 with 13.94 million hours, this week. Shahid Kapoor starrer 'Jersey', that failed to make its mark at the box office, facing competition from Yash starrer 'KGF: Chapter 2', is also earning accolades on Netflix with 2.11 million hours of viewership this week.
Alia Bhatt starrer 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', that is based on the story of a prostitute named Gangubai who later turned into a social activist, released in February. The film opened to rave reviews going on to become one of the highest grossers of the year. Alia garnered accolades for her terrific performance from all corners. The film also became a turning point in Alia's career graph, making her one of the few Bollywood actresses to enter the 100 crore club.
SS Rajamouli's pan-India magnum opus drama 'RRR' broke all records as the film released in March, this year. Going on to become the biggest blockbuster of the year, so far, the film did a global business of more than a 1000 crore. The film based during the British Era, stars south actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR as Rama and Komaram Bheema. The film also stars Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran in pivotal roles.
Shahid Kapoor's 'Jersey' faced tough competition at the box office with Yash starrer 'KGF: Chapter 2', and failed to make its mark, later on resorting to OTT for business. The film is the hindi adaptation of the same in Telugu. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, 'Jersey' is ranked at no. 9 in the top 10 most-watched list of Netflix.
