New Delhi: Rosie O'Donnell, an American comedian and actress, has taken to social media to apologise for the terrible error she made to Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra.
The 59-year-old was dining with her son, his girlfriend, and actress Fran Drescher in Malibu, where she was seated next to Jonas and Chopra.
In a Tik Tok video posted on Instagram, Rosie O'Donnell expressed her embarrassment over mistaking Priyanka for author Deepak Chopra's daughter. According to the footage, she was in Malibu when she ran into the pair.
“Seated next to us was Nick Jonas and his wife, someone Chopra, which I always assumed was Deepak Chopra’s daughter. So when I said, ‘Hi Nick Jonas, you were great in Kingdom, and, ‘Hi (Priyanka) I know your dad’. She goes, ‘You do? Who’s my dad?’ And I go, ‘Deepak’. And she goes, ‘No... and Chopra’s a common name.” O’Donnell narrated.
Priyanka Chopra is the daughter of Dr. Ashok Chopra and Dr. Madhu Chopra. Rosie's fans believed she was truly ashamed by what had occurred and advised her not to be concerned. Rosie's posts received no response from Priyanka Chopra or Nick Jonas yet.
Rosie also rebutted remarks in which many claimed that Priyanka was "rude" to her. She stated in another video, "So I’m reading the comments, and people thought she was rude, she wasn’t rude, it was just awkward. I’m sure she gets sick of that. She’s apparently a very well-known actress and more famous than him (Nick). So I’m sure it felt weird to her to begin with."
Meanwhile, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra have begun a new chapter in their lives by becoming parents. They have recently brought their child into the world via surrogacy.
