Mumbai: In the latest development in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, the Bombay High Court has reportedly refused to quash the case against the late actor’s sister Priyanka Singh filed by Rhea Chakraborty. The case was filed by the ‘Chehre’ actress for allegedly forging and fabricating a medical prescription of her late brother. Priyanka Singh will now move to the Supreme Court. Earlier, the investigating agency and SSR’s sister had sought the withdrawal of the FIR filed by the ‘Jalebi’ actress.
According to reports, now the Central investigating agency CBI will have to probe the said FIR too.
However, the FIR against the ‘Dil Bechara’ actor’s another sister Meetu Singh has been quashed. A report of ANI reads, “Bombay High quashes the FIR against Sushant Singh Rajput's sister Mitu Singh; FIR against his other sister Priyanka not quashed.”
According to a report by PTI, a division bench of Justices S S Shinde and M S Karnik, said that the case against Meetu Singh does not stand. The court further said that there was prima facie evidence against SSR’s another sister Priyanka Singh reportedly.
Last year, on September 7, Rhea Chakraborty filed a complaint against Priyanka Singh, Meetu Singh and doctor Tarun Kumar of Delhi's Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital at Bandra Police Station. An FIR was lodged post that.
Meanwhile, after the FIR was lodged against the ‘Kedarnath’ actor’s sisters, the Bandra police forwarded the case papers to the CBI as the Supreme Court had earlier directed that all cases related to SSR’s death will be investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
