New Delhi: The sad demise of singer and music-composer Bappi Lahiri, has left everyone grief-stricken as people mourn the loss of 'another gem from the music industry'. Veteran singer and music-composer Bappi Lahiri left for his heavenly abode on Tuesday night at Mumbai's CritiCare Hospital at the age of 69.


With condolences pouring in from every corner, several Bollywood celebrities took to their social media handles to express grief over the loss of a musical legend. 


Actress Kajol took to her Instagram and mourned the death of 'The Disco King'. Sharing a picture of the late singer, she wrote, "Today we lost the disco king, Bappi Da you were not only an amazing music composer and singer but also a beautiful and happy soul. End of an Era. May your soul rest in peace."



Akshay Kumar took to his twitter and shared how Bappi Da's voice was 'a reason to dance' for him. He tweeted, "Today we lost another gem from the music industry… Bappi Da,your voice was the reason for millions to dance, including me. Thank you for all the happiness you brought through your music. My heartfelt condolences to the family. Om Shanti."



Neil Nitin Mukesh shared a picture where he can be seen sharing the frame with the legendary singer on the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show. Sharing the picture, Neil paid his tribute to the 'King of Pop' and wrote, "The True King Of Pop. Bappi Daa , there never was and will never be anyone like you. Thank you for making our youth Rocking. My deepest condolences with the entire family and his millions of fans who truly love him."



Kareena Kapoor Khan shared a black and white picture of the singer and remembered him with one of his most iconic songs, "Yaar bina chain kahan re."




Actor Vicky Kaushal also took to his Instagram story and shared a picture of Bappi Lahiri, hugging his keyboard. The actor wrote, "Thank you for your melodies Bappi Da! RIP."




Sidharth Malhotra also paid his heartfelt tribute to the singer and wrote, "A heartfelt tribute to legendary music composer and pop culture singer Bappi Lahiri Ji. May his soul rest in peace. My condolences to the family."






Several other celebrities including Arjun Rampal, Bhumi Pednekar and Ajay Devgn among others, also expressed their grief over the singer's demise. Bappi Lahiri's funeral will take place on Thursday morning.
