New Delhi: Pamela Chopra, the wife of famed filmmaker Yash Chopra, left for the heavenly abode on Thursday, in Mumbai. She was 74. Celebrities from Bollywood flocked to the Chopra home to express their condolences and show their support at this tough time. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, as well as Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra, were among those sighted at Aditya Chopra's home. 


Amidst this, a video of Ranbir and Alia was circulated on the internet by a paparazzi account, where it could be seen that the latter opened her sandals outside the door of the house, while Ranbir picked them up and kept them inside. This gesture melted their fan's hearts and they showered love and respect for him.






Netizens took to the comments section to express their views on the video. One of them said, "Respect for this couple, especially Ranbir, he almost attends the elderly funerals as possible as he can", while another person said, "Ranbir, love you for this gesture. My Blessings."


Other actors also went to Aditya Chopra's house to pay their last respects. Ajay Devgn-Kajol and Kareena Kapoor-Saif Ali Khan were also seen there. 


Additionally, Amitabh Bachchan penned an emotional note and said, "And after this ordeal of the first day .. a quick visit to Yash ji’s home and meeting the family and reliving all those years of the past .. life is so unpredictable and tough. So much to have spent with her and the filmmaking and the music sittings and the outdoors and the homely get-togethers.. all gone in a breath. And one by one they all leave us. All left with the pleasant times spent."


After being diagnosed with pneumonia, Pamela Chopra was brought to Lilavati Hospital where she passed away. She is survived by her sons, filmmaker Aditya Chopra and actor Uday Chopra.


Pamela Chopra's most recent appearance was in 'The Romantics' on Netflix. She disclosed she had battled cancer in the four-part documentary series.
