New Delhi: On Wednesday night, Rakhi Sawant and Sherlyn Chopra addressed the media to say they are getting along well. Several paparazzi pages published videos and pictures of the two resolving their differences. Rakhi Sawant and her husband Adil Khan Durrani have been publicly fighting for a few weeks. The actress has made charges of an extramarital affair, domestic abuse, financial fraud, and psychological harassment against Adil. As all this has been going on, Rakhi has reconnected with her old rival Sherlyn Chopra and found a pillar of strength in her.
As a result of Rakhi's allegations of domestic abuse and harassment, an FIR was filed against Adil. Even though Sherlyn had previously claimed that Adil was the one victimised by Rakhi's pranks, she referred to him as a "thug" on Wednesday.
Sherlyn can be seen hugging and kissing Rakhi on the cheek in one of the videos. She further said that she was shocked to learn from Rakhi that an Iranian lady in Mysore had accused Adil of rape.
Two months ago, Rakhi and Sherlyn filed FIRs against one another for allegedly using offensive language. They also disagreed on whether or not #MeToo accused Sajid Khan should be allowed to participate in ‘Bigg Boss 16’. While Sherlyn was against Khan participating in the reality programme, Rakhi came to his defence.
In addition, Sherlyn Chopra discussed her decision to drop the defamation cases she had previously filed against Rakhi Sawant.
Rakhi Sawant surprised everyone when she revealed her wedding to Adil Khan through an Instagram post early this year. The couple got married in 2022 and she kept the marriage a secret at Adil’s request. The businessman first refuted the rumours when Rakhi announced their marriage earlier this year, but later accepted it.
On February 7, Adil was put in judicial custody. A complaint was reportedly filed against him, and he was brought before the Dondoshi sessions court, where his remand was denied by the Mumbai Police.
Rakhi had also accused Adil of her mother's death and said she would have been alive today had she been given medical treatment on time.
