Rajinikanth Hospitalised: Superstar Rajinikanth has been admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad due to severe fluctuations in his blood pressure level. Rajinikanth’s health needed further evaluation for which he will be investigated and monitored closely in the hospital.

The shooting of Rajinikanth’s upcoming movie ‘Annaatthe’ has been put to a halt recently after crew members from the set tested COVID-19 positive. Though the actor tested negative for the virus, according to the latest update, the superstar has now been admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad.

Thalaiva Rajinikanth has been admitted to Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad. The hospital released a press release giving an update about the actor’s health. The statement read, “Mr.Rajnikanth has been admitted in the hospital today in the morning. He was shooting for a movie in Hyderabad since the last 10 days. A couple of people on the sets tested positive for Covid-19. Mr.Rajnikanth was tested on 22nd December for Covid-19 and he was negative. Since then he isolated himself and was monitored closely. Though he did not have any symptoms of Covid-19, his Blood Pressure showed severe fluctuations and needed further evaluation for which he has been admitted to the hospital. He will be investigated and monitored closely in the hospital till his blood pressure settles down before being discharged. Apart from fluctuating blood pressure and exhaustion he does not have any other symptoms and is hemodynamically stable. Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad”.

Rajnikanth was shooting with Nayanthara and Keerthy Suresh 'Annaatthe' before the implementation of the nationwide lockdown. However, the filming of the movie began again from December 14, 2020. After a few days of shooting, the filming of the Rajinikanth starrer movie had to stop again as four of the movie’s crew members have tested positive for COVID-19.
