New Delhi: On Monday, actor Karthi came to Twitter to inform his fans that his Facebook profile has been hacked and that efforts are presently being made to restore the account. Karthi is currently revelling in the success of his back-to-back blockbusters ‘Ponniyin Selvan 1’ and ‘Sardar’.

On November 14, Karthi resorted to his Twitter account to break the news to his followers that the security of his account had been breached. The hackers presided over a Facebook session that was broadcast live for a number of hours. He continued, saying he had contacted Facebook's technical support staff in an effort to restore his account.

His tweet reads, "Hello guys, my Facebook page has been hacked. We are trying to restore it with Fb team."

These days, hackers target a surprising number of celebrity accounts. On February 20th, 'Super Deluxe' star Gayathrie Shankar said that her Instagram account had been hacked, and that, oddly, her account had been used to send spam messages to actor Premgi Amaren. Actress Aishwarya Rajesh also had her Instagram account hacked in late April.

It's safe to say that actress Karthi had a busy 2022. Particularly, the previous few months have been really fruitful in terms of my career. His year began with the smash blockbuster ‘Viruman’ by director Muthuaiah.

Karthi has had a few critically and commercially acclaimed films in a row. A first look poster for Karthi's next film Japan will be out today at 5 PM. After next year's releases of Japan and Ponniyin Selvan 2, the actor will begin filming 'Kaithi 2' with director Lokesh Kanagaraj.
