New Delhi: After a long wait, Katrina Kaif, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Ishaan Khatter starrer ‘Phone Bhoot’ had finally released in the theatres this Friday. While the audience was eagerly looking forward to enjoying this comedy of horrors in the theatres, it has not successfully emerged as a full-on entertainment package for the audience. The low-on-story film has subsequently shown its effect at the box office.
While the film was unable to attract a huge chunk of the audience to the theatres on the very first day of its release, its booked phenomenal numbers at the box office which showed a 35% jump on the second day.
Looking at the box office performance of ‘Phone Bhoot’, on the first day the film saw significantly fewer people at the theatres mainly in the evening, and the night shows made the film collect 2.05 Cr. all across the nation on Friday. Moving forward to its second day, the film booked a great jump of 35% in its collections amounting to 2.75 Cr. on Saturday.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#PhoneBhoot sees growth on Day 2 [+34.15%]… Needs that extra push on Day 3 for a decent weekend total… However, the #INDvZIM cricket match could affect its biz… Fri 2.05 cr, Sat 2.75 cr. Total: ₹ 4.80 cr. #India biz.”
Moreover, the audience is loving the film as they witnessed Katrina kaif as the world's most beautiful ghost along with two bhootbusters Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Ishaan. The film is been loved by an audience ranging from all age groups.
Directed by Gurmmeet Singh and written by Ravi Shankaran and Jasvinder Singh Bath, ‘Phone Bhoot’ is produced by Excel Entertainment, headed by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. The film is released in theatres on 4th November 2022.
