New Delhi: Videos and photos from inside the NMACC inauguration event still popping up on social media. The paparazzi's commentary, however, is always there in the backdrop of the recordings and has become a major memetic factor. The majority of users seem to be enjoying their humorous remark, however, a few have voiced their displeasure with it. One Twitter user called it "disgraceful," prompting a strong response from director Vivek Agnihotri.

Fans on social media are having a blast because of the amusing names and pronunciations that photographers have given to Hollywood guests Zendaya, Tom Holland, and Gigi Hadid at NMACC. Vivek Agnihotri responded by attacking a Twitter user who had posted a lengthy message criticising the Indian paparazzi.

Vivek retweeted the video compilation of memes and commented that there's nothing wrong with the interpretation drawn from the paparazzi's behaviour.

‘The Kashmir Files’ director wrote, "Paparazzi is the same everywhere. Even they can’t pronounce names of people from different origin. And nothing wrong in being what we are."

Earlier, actor-comedian Vir Das also shared his thought about this. According to him, the paparazzi are just as intrusive in other nations. He shared his red carpet photo from the Emmys with the caption, "Ima be honest, if you've ever been on a red carpet abroad, I can assure you our paparazzi does a decent job with the white names. try going to the International Emmys and having hundred dudes scream "Weirdass, Weirdass over here" at you."

Meanwhile, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s next movie ‘The Vaccine War’ is scheduled to release on 15th August 2023, Independence Day, and interestingly it will be released in 10 plus languages including Hindi, English, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, and Bengali. The film is all about, how difficult and pressure it is for Indian scientists always from foreign countries and the medical world overall.
