Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan, is stepping into the world of entertainment with his debut series titled 'The Ba**ds of Bollywood'. The much-anticipated series was announced by Netflix on Monday, marking Aryan's first venture as a creator and director. Produced by Aryan’s mother, Gauri Khan, under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, the series has generated a significant amount of buzz, particularly among fans of the Khan family.

At the streaming service's 2025 slate announcement event, Shah Rukh Khan introduced the project with great enthusiasm, revealing that the show’s actual title is The Bads of Bollywood.
He went on to praise Aryan’s dedication to the project, mentioning, "Aryan has worked very hard on this. And it is not just him, there is Bilal, Manav, Ankit, Dev, and many more who have contributed their efforts to this series for years. Hard work pays off only when the viewers are entertained."
The proud father also referred to the series as a "family show" and expressed his hope that it would engage audiences the same way his own work has. "It is a kind of family show as Netflix is also like a family to me... I hope this family get-together entertains India," Shah Rukh was quoted as saying by PTI.
About 'The Ba**ds of Bollywood'
In the announcement video, Shah Rukh Khan starts delivering a dialogue, “Picture toh saalon se baki hai lekin....” but is interrupted by the director, who requests another take. After several attempts, Shah Rukh grows increasingly frustrated and asks, “Tere Baap Ka Raaj Hai Kya?” To this, Aryan Khan is shown, who is behind the camera, responding with a simple "Yes."
Set in the glamorous yet complex world of Indian cinema, The Bads of Bollywood is described as a multi-genre series with a thrilling narrative that offers an "unabashed, entertaining ride." The plot follows a charming and ambitious outsider who navigates the intricate and sometimes treacherous world of Bollywood. Shah Rukh also wished Aryan and his daughter Suhana Khan well in their respective careers, stating, "Even if they get 50 percent of the love that I have received, it will be a lot from them."
Suhana Khan, who made her acting debut in 2023 with Netflix's The Archies, has already made her mark, and now Aryan is ready to carve out his own path in the entertainment industry.
