"A nearly 20 mins interrogation scene in #Sector36 featuring @VikrantMassey &  @Deepakdobriyaal at the top of their game is hands down the best scene across all Hindi films that I have seen in 2024 so far. Kudos to debutant director #AdityaNimbalkar for this one," another user wrote.

Vikrant Massey on the scene

Vikrant Massey, happy with the reactions to the scene said, “I’m truly overwhelmed by the incredible reactions the film is receiving, especially for the interrogation scene, which is easily my favorite. There was something raw and unfiltered about that moment—Deepak sir and I were so deeply immersed in our characters that everything else faded away. It felt as though the room was stripped of its reality. It was just the three of us—Deepak sir, Baharul sir, and me—completely absorbed in the intensity of the scene. That level of immersion is rare, and I think that’s why the scene resonated so strongly with the audience. The energy in that room was palpable, and I’m grateful we were able to capture it on screen.”

Director on the scene

Talking about the interrogation scene, director Aditya Nimbalkar said, “That scene was the one I was both excited and nervous to film. Bodhayan deserves credit for writing such a complex sequence, and Saurabh Goswami, our cinematographer, and I planned every detail meticulously. While we allowed for some improvisation, every nuance, reaction, and movement was mapped out to ensure a seamless flow. Vikrant carried much of the heavy lifting, delivering an exceptional performance, while Deepak sir, with fewer dialogues, showed how powerful expressions can be. Baharul Islam’s presence also added depth to the scene.”
