New Delhi: Comedian Kapil Sharma’s new show, ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ recently premiered on Netflix. One of the most successful shows on Indian television is streaming exclusively on OTT and getting similar responses on the platform as well. However, a fan has taken to Reddit to share the detailed 'worst' experience of the audiences present on the sets.
The Reddit user claimed that he was part of one of the latest episodes of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show', which will soon release on Netflix. Although the fan did not reveal which episode it was, he shared details of what unfolded during the shooting. He called the experience ‘extremely pathetic’ and claimed that the ground staff on Kapil Sharma’s show was 'extremely rude’ to the audience.
"Kapil's on ground staff was extremely rude and treated all the audience members like pieces of shit. Our call time was 2pm but we were made to wait for 4 hours before the shoot finally started at 6pm.. it was horrendous given how hot Mumbai is these days.We were asked to submit our phones which is partially fair ( as all the staff was freely roaming around using phones and clicking pictures)," the viewer wrote in the Reddit post.
"Not sure if kapil or other senior crew is aware of these mishaps but all in all will not recommend going here unless you want to get yourselves insulted multiple times during shoot," he added.
In no time, the comments section of the post was flooded with responses, and users were shocked to learn about the ‘inhumane’ behaviour.
Here is what they had to say:
The original name of the show was 'Comedy Nights with Kapil', which aired on Colours from 2013 to 2016. The rebranded show ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, premiered on March 30. The new episode is released every Saturday at 8 p.m.
