The captivating trailer takes viewers into the vibrant district of Heeramandi, where the formidable Mallikajaan (portrayed by Manisha Koirala) reigns supreme over an esteemed establishment of courtesans. Mallikajaan faces a new challenge with the unexpected return of Fareedan (played by Sonakshi Sinha), the daughter of her late adversary, igniting tensions within the household. Beyond the confines of Heeramandi, the city seethes with revolutionary fervour, as patriots rally for India's independence from British rule, with Bibbojaan (played by Aditi Rao Hydari), one of Mallikajaan’s daughters, joining the struggle. Meanwhile, Alamzeb (portrayed by Sharmin Segal), Mallikajaan’s youngest, nurtures dreams of love with Tajdar (played by Taha Shah Badussha), the son of a nobleman, yearning to escape the confines of Heeramandi.

Amidst escalating betrayals and the clash between forbidden desires and societal conventions, the fight for India's freedom during the pre-independence era reaches a critical juncture. Against this tumultuous backdrop, Mallikajaan and Fareedan find themselves entangled in an epic battle for the coveted title of the huzoor, or the lady, of Heeramandi.

About Heeramandi
Described as a grand narrative of romance, power, vengeance, and liberation, the series delves into the societal tapestry of 'Heeramandi', an opulent locale, by narrating the tales of courtesans and their patrons amidst the chaotic milieu of India's fight for independence in the 1940s.

Crafted from the idea conceived by Moin Beg, the series is helmed, conceptualised, and brought to life by Bhansali himself as the creator, director, and producer.
