Adhura (Prime Video) 
This series revolves around a boarding school, the place where something suspicious is happening, which is just beyond our thinking and imagination.  Produced by Nikkhil Advani’s Emmay Entertainment and directed by Ananya Banerjee and Gauravv K Chawla, the Amazon Original series features Ishwak Singh, Poojan Chhabra, Rijul Ray, Zoa Morani, Sahil Salathia, and Aru Krishansh Verma as high school friends alongside Rasika Dugal, Shrenik Arora and Rahul Dev playing pivotal roles. 


Chhorii (Prime Video)
It is a suspense thriller with an underlying social message about female infanticide. In this Amazon Original film, Sakshi (Nushrratt Bharuccha) and Hemant (Saurabh Goyal) are a happily married couple,  eight months pregnant. Hemant faces severe repercussions when he can't pay lenders for the company he intended to start. Due to this, the couple is forced to go to a remote area where they can stay safe and have time to arrange for the money.  However, the house they move to has a history of gore and ghosts. 


Bulbbul (Netflix) 
If you want a breath of fresh scare, 'Bulbbul' is just the title for you to watch this Halloween. Set in a quaint Bengal village in the pre-independence era, this Anvitaa Dutt directorial stars Tripti Dimri as the titular Bulbbul, along with Avinash Tiwary, Rahul Bose, Paoli Dam and Parambrata Chattopadhyay. An ode to Bengali horror stories, Bulbbul explores not just the themes of its genre, but also the sub-themes of feminism in the nineteenth century. 


Stranger Things (Seasons 1-4) (Netflix) 
On a scale of one to ten, this series is an 11. 'Stranger Things,' the brainchild of the super-talented Duffer Brothers, is like a bag of Halloween candy – it's got all the best flavors of horror, thrills, and science fiction, seamlessly mixed into a spooktacular narrative. On Wednesdays, we wear black! ‘The Addams Family’ has been a cult classic amongst horror enthusiasts who find solace in the creepy characters of the family. Adding a dash of mystery to this supernatural comedy, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar brought alive the character of Wednesday Addams in the Netflix original ‘Wednesday’. Starring the mysterious Jenna Ortega as the titular character, the series does not disappoint OG fans of ‘The Addams Family’. With a devilish blend of dark humor and mysterious shenanigans, ‘Wednesday’ is the perfect potion for a bewitching Halloween. 


Goodnight Mommy (Prime Video) 
Twin boys, played by Cameron Crovetti and Nicholas Crovetti, who do everything together, from collecting beetles to feeding stray cats. The two welcome their mother, played by Naomi Watts, home after her reconstructive surgery. However, with her face bandaged and her aloof they begin to question her identity. 


The Fall of the House of Usher (Netflix) 
What can one expect from the master auteur of Horror himself? Mike Flanagan, the conjurer behind spine-tingling Netflix originals like 'The Haunting of Hill House,' 'The Haunting of Bly Manor,' 'Midnight Mass,' and 'The Midnight Club,' is back with yet another wicked enchantment that breathes life into Edgar Allan Poe's tales, particularly the short story 'The Fall of the House of Usher.’ Starring remarkable actors including Carla Gugino, Bruce Greenwood, Zach Gilford, Henry Thomas, Kate Siegel, Rahul Kohli and Samantha Sloyan, with cinematography that is sure to send shivers down your spine, 'The Fall of the House of Usher’ doesn't just put the "scream" in "scream-fest,” it makes your heart race, your hair stand on end, and your popcorn disappear faster than the ghost standing in the corner of your eye!
