New Delhi: The high-octane Ariel action ‘Fighter’, starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, soars into theatres. This Republic Day release, directed by the acclaimed Siddharth Anand and produced by Marflix Pictures and Viacom18 Studios, promises an adrenaline-pumping experience. The film has already received rave reviews from reviewers and moviegoers. After its theatrical run, ‘Fighter’ will land on Netflix, making it accessible to a global audience.

Those who have missed the film on the big screen can enjoy the film on the OTT platform.

The excitement for ‘Fighter’ has been undeniable, fueled by an electrifying teaser, captivating character posters, and the chart-topping anthem ‘Sher Khul Gaye’. Marking the first of its kind in Indian action cinema and the first collaboration between Roshan and Padukone, it's no surprise that streaming giant Netflix has already acquired the film for its platform. While the exact release date remains under wraps, anticipation is high for a pre-Holi 2024 streaming debut.

The announcement of 'Fighter' took place in January 2021. September 2022 was the originally scheduled release date for 'Fighter'. Nevertheless, pre-production was delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The film then released on January 25, 2024, which falls on the eve of Republic Day.

The trailer of the film was met with criticism by Pakistani celebrities such as Adnan Siddiqui and Hania Aamir shortly after its release earlier this month.

The story follows Squadron Leaders Shamsher "Patty" Pathania (Roshan) and Minal "Minnie" Rathore (Padukone) on a daring secret mission against a dangerous terrorist group. Guiding them is the experienced Group Captain Rakesh "Rocky" Jai Singh (Anil Kapoor), adding veteran depth to the talented cast. Ashutosh Rana, Rishabh Sawhney, Sanjeev Jaiswal, Talat Aziz, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi further bolster the impressive ensemble.
