Fans of Priyanka Chopra will have to wait longer than expected, as Citadel Season 2 will not be hitting screens this year. The much-anticipated spy-thriller series has been delayed, and all spin-offs have also been put on hold indefinitely, according to The Hollywood Reporter (THR).

Why Was Citadel Season 2 Delayed?

As per reports, Amazon MGM is reportedly unimpressed with the current version of the new season. The streaming giant wants to refine certain elements before bringing Priyanka Chopra’s espionage saga back to the audience. Consequently, Citadel Season 2 is now expected to debut in spring 2026.

About Citadel Season 1

The first season of Citadel, which premiered on April 28, 2023, starred Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden in the lead roles. The six-episode series was among the most expensive TV productions ever made, featuring an ensemble cast including Stanley Tucci, Lesley Manville, Roland Møller, and Rahul Kohli.

The storyline followed Mason Kane (Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra), elite spies who lost their memories after the collapse of their secret independent agency, Citadel.
