New Delhi: Prithviraj Sukumaran is preparing for the OTT release of his film ‘The Goat Life’, which has put him back in the limelight. ‘The Goat Life’ or ‘Aadujeevitham’ will debut on Netflix on July 19, over four months after it was released in theatres. The film will be released in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.


Netflix India took to Instagram to announce the release of ‘Aadujeevitham’ with the caption, "A story of courage, hope, and survival. Idhu Najeebinte athijeevana katha. #Aadujeevitham is coming to Netflix on 19 July in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi!"

Director Blessy said during the film's promotions that the initial running length of ‘Aadujeevitham’ was three hours and thirty minutes, but that more than thirty minutes of material had to be removed to meet the typical theatrical running time. Many are hoping that the film will be shown on Netflix in its original, unedited version.

About ‘Aadujeevitham’ 


‘Aadujeevitham’ or ‘The Goat Life’  is based on Benjamin's best-selling Malayalam book "Aadujeevitham" and takes place in the early 1990s and follows the actual tale of Najeeb, a young man from Kerala who leaves his home in pursuit of greater opportunities overseas. This book is a bestseller in Malayalam and has been translated into twelve languages, some of which are not even spoken by native speakers of the language.


The film ‘Aadujeevitham’ features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Amala Paul, Talib Al Balushi, KR Gokul, Jimmy Jean-Louis, and Rick AB. Composer AR Rahman is responsible for the score of the film.


‘Aadujeevitham’ earned more than Rs 150 crores worldwide, despite facing stiff competition from other new films in cinemas. Viewers and enthusiasts alike are already eagerly awaiting its imminent OTT release.
