New Delhi: Two films of the year that had received great reviews from all quarters are all set to make their OTT debut in the coming week. Director Vidhu Vinod Chopra's ‘12th Fail’ will have its digital premiere on Disney+ Hotstar and ‘Three of Us’, featuring Shefali Shah, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Swanand Kirkire, will premiere on Netflix on December 29. 


12th Fail, starring Vikrant Massey and Medha Shankr, was released in theatres on October 27 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. 


Disney+ Hotstar announced the movie's premiere date on its official X page on Saturday. 


"If there is one movie you must watch before 2024 starts, this one has to be it! #12thFail streaming on 29th December #12thFailOnHotstar #ZeroSeKarRestart @VVCFilms @ZeeStudios_ @VikrantMassey @MedhaShankr @anantvijayjoshi @Anshumaanpushk1," the streamer posted. 


Based on Anurag Pathak's bestselling novel about the journey of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and IRS officer Shraddha Joshi, ‘12th Fail’ had collected Rs 50 crore at the box office. 






Anant V Joshi, Anshumaan Pushkar, Sanjay Bishnoi and Priyanshu Chatterjee also round out the cast of the film. 


On the other hand, Three of Us, a story of introspection, rediscovery, exploration and harsh realities, ‘had released in theatres on November 3. 






It is a story of hope, healing and love, set in the Konkan region of Maharashtra, which is directed by Avinash Arun Dhaware.  In the film, Shefali plays Shailaja Desai who is suffering from retrograde amnesia. She decides to revisit her native village in the Konkan region, accompanied by her husband played by Swanand Kirkire and meets her friend played by Jaideep Ahlawat. 


The film was on the list of 25 films chosen for the Indian Panorama 2022 at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), last year.
