New Delhi: Kevin Spacey who was charged with sexual assault in the UK recently has now pleaded not guilty to all five counts of sexual assault for which he was accused. Kevin Spacey appeared at London's Old Bailey Court on Thursday morning.


The 62-year-old star wore a blue suit with blue tie as he made his second appearance in the UK with regards to the trial. 


Kevin confirmed his name and age before pleasing not guilty to four charges of sexual assault and one count of forcing a person in penetrative sexual activity without consent, NDTV reported.


The Crown Prosecution Service had authorised charges against Spacey in the month of May. The Oscar winner was formally charged by the police in London in June and he voluntarily appeared in court within days.


In June, during Kevin Spacey's first hearing, his lawyer Patrick Gibbs told the court his client "strenuously denies any and all criminality in this case". 


"He needs to answer these charges if he is to proceed with his life," Gibbs added at the time.


The magistrate had formally revoked Spacey's arrest order after learning that Spacey had traveled to London to appear in person for the court proceedings.


In the UK, Spacey's charges go back to 2005, 2008 and 2013 all of which claim that Kevin Spacey engaged in sexual assault against men without their consent.


This is not the first time that the 'American Beauty' actor has been accused of sexual assault, In the USA too, Kevin Spacey faces such allengations that came to light especially after the #MeToo movement.


Reportedly, Spacey was dropped from Netflix's superhit show 'House Of Cards' final season as allegations against him erupted. He was also allegedly dropped from the Gore Vidal biopic.
