Singer Nick Jonas has spoken about his wife, actress Priyanka Chopra, and their different religious beliefs. In a new interview, Nick also stated that after marrying Priyanka, he learned "so much about" Hinduism. He also discussed how their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas will be influenced by both religions as she grows. Nick and Priyanka Chopra married in 2018. Malti Marie was born to the couple via surrogacy in January 2022.

The duo, in a joint statement on social media, had announced the birth of their first child. "We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much (sic)," the statement said.

"I have a deep and meaningful relationship with God, but God has taken many different shapes than what I just read in one book now," Nick said on the Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard podcast. And by marrying a Hindu Indian woman, I've learned so much about that religion and faith that it's inspiring. We are raising a child who will have elements of both biblical principles and Hindu faith."

Nick recently appeared on a BBC chat show, where the host asked him about being referred to as 'jiju,' the Hindi term for brother-in-law. He admitted that after his marriage to Priyanka, many people in India referred to him as "jiju." "Quite a few people do. My wife and I were recently in Mumbai for the opening of the Ambanis' cultural centre, which was a fantastic event. "On the red carpet, all the photographers were calling me 'jiju,'" the singer explained.

Nick is currently promoting his upcoming album, The Album, with the Jonas Brothers. He recently worked with rapper King on the Hindi version of the song Maan Meri Jaan.

Priyanka is currently in The Russo Brothers' Citadel. Her most recent film was James C. Strouse's Love Again, in which she co-starred with Sam Heughan. Nick also appears in the film. She will now be seen in Farhan Akhtar's Jee Le Zaraa alongside Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif, as well as Heads of State alongside John Cena and Idris Elba.
