Veteran television actor Mukesh Khanna's elder brother Satish Khanna passed away suffering heart attack post COVID-related complications. The 84-year-old breathed his last at his Mumbai residence on Sunday. 


Sharing information about his elder brother's demise with ABP News, Mukesh Khanna said, "My elder brother Satish had tested positive for Coronavirus. He was under home-quarantine and taking medicines as a precaution given by the doctor. On April 8, his corona report had come negative. But on Saturday afternoon, he was feeling very weak and suddenly had a heart attack. He passed away on his eldest son's lap."


He went on to inform that Satish Khanna, who lives in Pali Hill area of ​​Bandra, was soon rushed to a nearby hospital after a heart attack but was declared dead before being admitted to the hospital.




Satish Khanna was a businessman and even at the age of 84, he had a great interest in playing tennis. Mukesh Khanna said, "He was fond of playing all the sports like cricket, football and tennis since childhood but he was very fond of tennis. He was physically fit till the day of quarantine."


"My brother has served as the chairman of 'Bharat Scouts and Guides' several times. He was the most fit among the four brothers. I spoke to him over the phone four days ago when he complained he was feeling weakness."


It is noteworthy that Mukesh Khanna, who played Bhishma Pitamah in BR Chopra's 'Mahabharat', is constantly making scathing comments on social media these days about the nationwide shortage of money, hospital beds, Remdisivir injections and oxygen cylinders for the treatment of Corona patients. 


Mukesh Khanna has been constantly expressing his opinion on social media against the election rallies and religious events in different states of the country amid the growing concerns of Coronavirus.
