Shah Rukh Khan’s magic has once again worked at the box office as the film collected over Rs 20 crore on its opening day. Zero’s first day box office collection stood at Rs 20.14 crore.
Bollywood critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared Zero’s box office collection on Twitter.
‘’#Zero has underperformed on Day 1, despite extensive release [4380 screens] + #Christmas vacations... Sat and Sun biz extremely crucial... Fri ₹ 20.14 cr. India biz,’’ Adarsh wrote on the micro-blogging site.
Shah Rukh Khan thanked the fans for showering love on 'Zero' and also dedicated a poem to them. ''Reading msgs that u enjoyed #Zero .I can’t answer individually, so a few lines from a poem I was reading: “The earth is wickedly dark, so why is ur poem so white? Becos my heart is teeming with thirty seas, I answered.(Mahmoud). So thk u all from the bottom of those thirty seas!,'' the 'Chennai Express' actor wrote on Twitter.
Zero, which also stars Tigmanshu Dhulia, Mohammed Zeeshan, saw special cameo appearances by Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Abhay Deol, Karisma Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Rani Mukerji, Kajol and R Madhavan. Late actress Sridevi also played a cameo in the film.
'Zero', which has been produced by Colour Yellow Productions and Red Chillies Entertainment, is expected to continue its good momentum and set the cash registers jingling.
