Virat Kohli is all set to get behind the microphone to rap for A.R. Rahman.

Virat Kohli is the brand ambassador of the upcoming Premier Futsal League and A.R. Rahman is composing the official anthem of the tournament to be played in July.



Virat Kohli, India's Test captain, will sing a portion of the official anthem of the Premier Futsal League. The anthem is being composed by A. R. Rahman, who had recently joined Salman Khan and Sachin Tendulkar as a goodwill ambassador for the Rio Olympics.

Eight franchises -- Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Goa, Kochi, Hyderabad and Bengaluru -- will compete from July 15-24 in the inaugural season of Premier Futsal League.

Bidding for the teams will take place in Mumbai on June 20 in the presence of soccer legend and Portuguese superstar Luis Figo.

The anthem is called Naam hai Futsal. The music video will be released in a couple of weeks and A.R. Rahman said, "We've been working on the song for a week. Virat's portion will be a rap... I will make it easier for him."

Futsal is a shorter and quicker version of football. The five-a-side matches are usually played indoors. It is very popular in Europe and South America.
