The real reason behind this is Deepika’s rumored boyfriend Ranveer Singh. The lovebirds, who are soon going to start work on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’, are leaving no stones unturned in spending all their free time with each other.

There have been constant rumors about their alleged breakup, but it has turned out to be mere speculations, as according to the latest developments, they are still going strong and are very much in love with each other.

A source was quoted saying by SpotboyE, "Deepika does not want to stay away from Ranveer for two days and that’s why she chose to miss SRK’s birthday bash. Recently, when Ranveer started shooting for ‘Padmavati’, Deepika was present at the Mehboob Studios, to be with her beau."

Reportedly, both Deepika and Ranveer were invited by SRK, but the devoted lovers chose to spend some quality time with each other.
