New Delhi: On the shoot of his movie 'Vikram Vedha' (2022), Hrithik Roshan posed for a photo with stuntman Mansoor Ali Khan. Fans of the late Sushant Singh Rajput were shocked when the throwback photo was posted on Instagram and labelled Hrithik's stuntman as a "replica of SSR."
As his photo went viral online, the Bollywood stuntman spoke to Hindustan Times about the sudden fame. “Earlier once or twice too my pic had gone viral, but never at this level,” he said.
Later, when discussing the uncanny resemblance to the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, he revealed that they had trained in martial arts together.
“Actually Sushant aur main 2009 mein same martial arts teacher se training lete the, he’s no more now. We would meet often in class, say a simple hello. He wasn’t doing television then. People would tell me even then ‘tum dono ek jaise dikhte ho, ek hi jaisi height, physique, personality,” Mansoor said.
Mansoor worked as a stunt double in his first film with Hrithik Roshan and later went on to do a few other films with the actor.
“Wanted, starring Salman Khan. I was a stuntman in the film. Then I did Ek Tha Tiger too. But my first film with Hrithik sir as a double was Agneepath. I went on to do Kaabil, Bang Bang!, Super 30, War, and Vikram Vedha recently,” he said.
To wish Hrithik on his birthday, Mansoor posted the now-famous picture on Instagram for the first time last month. During filming 'Vikram Vedha', Mansoor and Hrithik Roshan are spotted wearing similar black shirts and jeans.
'Vikram Vedha' is the Hindi remake of the same-titled Tamil film helmed by Pushkar and Gayathri. The original film starred Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Shraddha Srinath, Vijay Sethupathi, and R Madhavan. The Hindi version of the film also features Saif Ali Khan and Radhika Apte in addition to Hrithik Roshan.
