New Delhi: ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ is an upcoming movie starring Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani. The comedy-horror is a remake of the Tamil movie ‘Muni 2: Kanchana’ which witnesses the ‘BellBottom’ actor portraying the role of a transgender. Soon after the release of the trailer, it hogged all the limelight, sparked a meme fest on social media and received praises from the celebrities becoming the most watched trailer in India with over 70 million views in 24 hours.

Earlier today, the makers unveiled the first song the movie ‘Burj Khalifa’ starring Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani in a glamorous role. The track has been composed and crooned by Shashi – Dj Khushia. Nikhita Gandhi also gave her voice to this song. The song has been shot in a hot desert of Dubai and speaking about her experience of dancing barefoot in Dubai desert. The ‘Kabir Singh’ actress told PinkVilla, “Shooting for Burj Khalifa was amongst the most enjoyable schedules of the film. Along with the fancy outfits came fancier locations, if we thought wearing chiffon sarees in the snow was difficult here comes dancing bare feet on the burning desert sands in the scorching sun. You know you’re an actress in a commercial movie when you’ve done either one.”

‘Laxmmi Bomb’ will be Kiara Advani’s second collaboration with the Khiladi Kumar of Bollywood. The ‘MS Dhoni’ actress had earlier starred with Akshay Kumar in ‘Good Newwz’ which also had Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead roles.

Apart from the lead pair, ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ also stars Ayesha Raza Mishra, Ashwini Kalsekar and Rajesh Sharma in pivotal roles. The much-awaited movie has been directed by Raghava Lawrence who directed the original film Tamil version.

The movie was originally slated to hit the silver screens on Eid 2020 but got delayed due to the COVID-19 crisis. The makers later sold the digital rights to the leading OTT platform.
